People say all the time that starbucks is way overpriced, but I tell you what. The quality of the drinks at starbucks compared to any other place I've ever tried including Tim Horton's: just blows the them away hands down.
Now I do have a starbucks addiction. Well it's actually a caffeine addiction, but it's my favorite place to satisfy this addiction.
I've tried quite a few of their drinks including the Tazo Iced and hot green tea, the Frappuccino's, the latte's and the cappuccino's. as well as some of the food offerings.
My favorite is the Java chip Frapp. Oh wow is this thing delicious. Now it's very high calorie and probably enough for the whole day, but it's amazing. I like to get an extra shot of espresso put in mine.
The latte's are so smooth and creamy that you can almost hear your taste buds say ahhhhhhhhhh thank you. I do opt most of the time for the sugar free caramel or sugar free vanilla. I do wish they would get sugar free mocha back. So Starbucks: if you read this please get a good sugar free mocha flavor.
It the summer months I do love to get the Tazo iced shaken green tea. I get it unsweetened and use splenda as a sweetener. It's good stuff and if you're a gift card/rewards member you get free refills on the tea and coffee. I'm a gold member which means I buy at least 15 drink a month with them. Every 15 drinks I get a free one and I always get free flavorings in my drinks. I'm such a regular that I've even been given a free drink now and then just because.
Another flavor that I love they only have in the fall is the pumpkin spice... Even though it's not sugar free (hint, hint) it's delicious and a must have. I recently had a friend tell me that I had to try the hot Caramel spice cider. OH WOW!! This just is heaving on the palate. There's not caffeine, but it's amazing!!!
As far as the food there. They have some breakfast sandwiches, muffins, brownies, cookies, cake pops, and a few other things there as well. I've seen them make my egg, sausage and cheddar breakfast sandwich and although they just stick this thing in a toast oven ( I don't think they even make them there, but just heat them up) it's really good. All the other dessert stuff is also really good.
They have Free Wifi there so I can bring my laptop in there and get on the web. I've actually spent hours in there just playing around on the computer even watching a movie on netflix, talking with other regulars and of course people watch which is one of my favorite things to do.
Although I do wish it wasn't as expensive as it is: I love the atmosphere, the people that work there, and the product. So if you haven't tried Starbucks yet and have been getting inferior products elsewhere like McDonald's, or even Tim Horton's: you owe it to yourself to give it a try. I might just see you there.
