Wild Spurs is located at The Jewel of Grand Blanc Golf Course on Perry Rd. The promote themselves as being a coyote ugly type bar. Alll the waitresses are beautiful and wear some of the shortest shorts around. On Friday and Saturday nights they will go out on to the dance floor to put on a little dance show for the crowd.
They have karaoke on Thursday nights, live bands on Friday and Saturday nights, and coming soon is a comedy club downstairs for Friday nights.
The food is amazing, the waitresses always very friendly, it has a very open atmosphere and they are always making improvements. They just opened up a wall and adding more pool tables.
Now the name would imply that this place is an exclusive country bar. Although country is the main theme: The bands they have on the weekends range from country, rock, to metal. The karaoke is the same way. There is a very diverse crowd that sings there and you will hear a little of everything.
The guy that owns the karaoke business that handles the karaoke there is Jeff and a friend of mine. He usually doesn't run the karaoke himself, but has people run it that know what they're doing and do a good job making everyone sound good. The sound system is great and has the effects on board that you would need to sing just about anything: just ask them. They have a very large stage to sing on. This would be the same stage used for the bands.
OK, now the food. I'm a huge fan of the cheese sticks there. If you love cheese sticks this will be the only place you will want to eat them once you try them. They are made fresh there, not frozen with just the right amount of breading and fried to a crispy golden brown. (I've attached a photo of them) They are by far the best I've had anywhere: including 5 star restaurants. Ive had their salads and they are good as well. Although I have not had it yet: their pizza and burgers are supposed to be great.
You might be thinking "Well this sounds like a nice place for guys, but what about girls?". This place is a great place for girls as well not just men. Yes the Wild Spur Girls are awesome, but that is not the only draw to this place.
On Wednesday nights they have a line dancing class for both men and women. Anyone is welcome. the cost is $5. It's not just country line dancing either: She teaches line dancing for all types of music. I've watched the class many times because of my good friend that takes the class, but I have not taken it myself.
On Friday and Saturday nights they usually have a drawing for prizes and do it in a very unique way. You'll have to go there to find out.
So this place has it all. Whether you want to see live bands, sing karaoke, eat some good food, hang out after your evening round of golf, or just want to come out and have a good time. I highly recommend Wild Spurs for a fun night out.
